Travel looks a lot different this year. We are trading International plane rides for road trips, and vacations for staycations. This year has taught me to slow down and enjoy what’s in my own backyard. Luckily, with Airbnb, I can find a place to stay for any type of trip.
Whether you’re looking for a treehouse for the weekend or an entire home for your little family, a warm welcome awaits. What I personally love about Airbnb is that behind every stay is a real person who can give you the details you need to check-in and feel at home. I also love to read reviews and browse the Airbnb Plus homes.
Although I plan on staying home for the rest of the year, I already have my 2021 wishlist of amazing Airbnb properties around the US that I hope to stay at in the new year. Keep reading to check them out!
Morongo Valley, California, United States
“With some of the best views in the high desert, this unique dwelling situated in the hills of yucca valley has everything you could want in a desert getaway. Its clear walls take the “indoor – outdoor” experience to a whole new level. It has its own deck and propane fire pit, is completely off grid and generates its own power from the sun. The detached kitchen and full bathroom are just yards away. It is one of two other short term rentals on the property.”
This property is absolutely breathtaking. It has the perfect views, and I love how open it is.
Lake Arrowhead, California, United States
“No expense was spared for this 100% remodeled cabin, designed by yours truly, @To_Dwell_Here. Every beautiful detail was planned with you in mind, because our passion is creating places for inviting people! Modern, Scandinavian, and mid-century inspired décor is as inviting and cozy as it is magazine worthy. We can’t wait to hear you rave about our bamboo mattresses, butter soft bamboo sheets, and the best sleep you’ve had in a long time! Lake Access Trail 43 is 300 feet from the cabin.”
Lake Arrowhead is about an hour away from LA, and makes for the perfect staycation. I love the loft like design of this cabin.
Aptos, California, United States
“Featured by Sunset Magazine as a “chic escape.”
Inside, mid-century furniture and architectural details are made of natural materials like wood and stone setting a calming, sanctuary tone throughout. Curl up with a good read by the light streaming through floor to ceiling windows and under soaring wooden beams or tuck in for the evening by closing the sliding doors inspired by Japanese screens.”
I am a huge mid-century fan and I am obsessed with the interiors of this treehouse in Aptos.
Franklin, Tennessee, United States
“Gather around the sleek marble dining table for leisurely meals at this refined retreat in historic Franklin. Built in 1919, gilded mirrors, plush studded bedframes, and classic sash windows fill the space with old-world charm and a modern spin.”
The Historic Flat on Main is one of my favorites on this list! I love the high ceilings and the old glam style.
