Oh my goodness, what a weekend! My sister and I packed our bags and headed to a nice staycation at the newest boutique hotel in LA, Hotel June. I honestly didn’t know how much I needed this! The trip was so relaxing and pure bliss.
For those who don’t know, Hotel June is the sister hotel to the Santa Monica Proper. I am sure you have seen Proper on Instagram, as both hotels are very aesthetically pleasing.
Hotel June is a nod to the free-thinking spirit and soul of California, inspired by good friends coming together and dreaming up the ideal place to stay, gather, get inspired, and break bread together. Their slogan is, “Welcome to Hotel June…where it’s a Saturday afternoon all year long,” which is really how it felt.
We checked in on Friday and felt safe during the entirety of our stay. Hotel June has taken many steps to prioritize the safety and health of their guests. I personally loved that there were hand sanitization stations everywhere and temperature checks. I also saw that they sanitized the pool chairs after each guest, and they enforced the mask rule during dining. You can read more about their COVID-19 Health and Safety Measures here.
The highlight of my trip was definitely waking up early and having a morning dip in the pool before others joined. Sometimes the early bird really does get the worm. The weather was perfect, I felt refreshed after my swim, and enjoyed peppermint tea.
We chose to dine in and ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Hotel June’s delicious restaurant, Scenic Route. There we enjoyed delicious food, accompanied by tasty drinks.
Although our trip has now come to an end, I know we will be back soon. Until next time Hotel June… you will be missed. Xo
