Day Trip to Catalina Island

Hi everyone! This post is all about my day trip to Catalina this past weekend. As most of you know, you get a free ride to the Island on your birthday. I went on my birthday, so I decided to take my mom for hers! We took the 9:00 a.m. boat to the Island and left at 5:00 p.m. I’ve gone to Catalina more times than I can count on my two hands, and I have to say this was the worst boat ride I have ever had! Of course with our luck, there was a storm the day before so the water was very choppy! Swells are usually 4-5 feet and they were 7-9 feet on our ride. I felt nauseous, which never happens to me!

Other than the boat ride, we had a great trip! The sun came out, we had a few drinks and rented our own golf cart and toured the island.

I wore a cute blush sweater from Chicwish, Staurt Weitzman boots and a fur jacket I purchased from H&M a few seasons ago. You can shop the post below! XO

Aww I'm sorry you had a horrible time going there, but am glad you had fun after all that! I always bring motion sickness pills with me when I'm going on a boat ride, I suffer from it and it's the worst feeling ever when you start feeling nausea and puking, so I get it! But hey, happy that it turned out great in the end! Happy birthday to your mom! It looks like such a fun day and I love the whole aesthetics of your pictures! Your outfit looks so cute :)Candi@thelollychasethelollychase.wordpress.com

What a lovely trip. I need to do something like this with my mother. I love exploring and I think I need to take my mother exploring more. I've never been nauseous from a boat ride either, but I'm sure that can't be fun. Happy you ladies had a wonderful day and you sure do look great. The fur coat sure does look fabulous on you.www.naturallyfarout.com-Kierra

Apart from the boat ride it seems you had a lovely day and I'm so happy you took your mom on a trip as I know that our parents value us spending time with them more than we actually realize ourselves! Regarding you're outfit it's top notch as always and I love that you found an "old" H&M coat to wear. Kind of tired of bloggers who have new stuff for every shoot! xoxoThomashttp://thomasfalkenstedt.com

Besides the boat ride it looks like such a wonderful day and Happy Birthday to your mom! You style is so beautiful! I'm such a fan of ChicWish. I love everything I have from them! The fur and boots really made this a picture perfect look! I'm all for wearing items you have! Some of my favorite pieces are a few seasons ago or vintage! Manda | http://EvocativelyChosen.com

That is so sweet of you to take your mom on her birthday. Looking at the islands is actually one of my fav things to do, something about being on a boat with the wind in my hair…so relaxing. I know what you mean about being sea sick though!! Wish my stomach wasn't so sensetive. You look amazing by the way!Wanderlusttswww.wanderlustts.com
