Current Books I am Into | Volume 1

As most of you know, I am a huge book nerd. Ever since I could read, I would always immerse myself in a good book. There’s something so nice about getting lost between the pages.

Time got in the way, and I stopped reading for fun. Last year, I decided to change that. You should always make time for the things you enjoy.

Here is a list of my current favorite reads.

One Day in December by Josie Silver – Okay, I added this book first because it was soooo good! I am such a believer of fate, and this book definitely exemplified this. Laurie, the main character, falls in love with a guy she sees at a bus stop, who her best friend ends up dating. I don’t want to give too much detail. Two people, ten chances and one unforgettable love story.

The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo – If you like a good cry, this book is for you! The Light We Lost is the life long story of Lucy and Gabe. It truly is an emotional roller coaster, and you’re left at the edge of your seat the whole time. I was so nervous with this book, that I actually had to take a peak at the end of the book midway into reading.

Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman – I read this book while vacationing in Portugal. It was a fun light read about an awkward girl from Scotland, who becomes friends with the most unlikely character. This book was both heartbreaking and comical.

Literary Letters

Love Letters of Great Men Vol. 1 – If you have seen Sex and the City, you probably remember hearing about this while Carrie was talking to Big. I recently came across this book while searching for love poems. This book is really for everyone. The sappy romantic and the pessimist. There are some pretty great scorned love letters here too. (page 9, by Napolean Bonaparte)

Self Help Books

Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight – I loved reading this book! If I am going to read a self-help book, the writer has to be entertaining, and Sarah really is! This book is basically about how to stop worrying about what you should do, so you can finish what you need to do, and start doing what you want to do. If you are always misplacing your keys, phone and wallet, you, in fact, don’t have your sh*t together and need to read this book.

Money Honey by Rachel Richards – A simple 7 step guide to getting your financial $hit together. This isn’t a boring finance book. Rachel has a way of making finance interesting! Money Honey is all about financial freedom. How to double your income and cut spending, consolidate student loans, invest, and save!

What are you currently reading? I’d love to add more books to my list!
