The Vintage Edit

Hey everyone! Happy happy weekend! What are you up to this weekend? Today I did a bit of house hunting and now I'm cozied up inside of my apartment, writing this blog post and watching Atomic Blonde.

If you've  been following me for a while, you may notice that this set of pictures look a little different. I am a little over my high exposed, whited out, minimal color Instagram theme. After a little over a year, I am finally changing my Instagram filter. To most people, this means absolutely nothing, but to me it's a HUGE deal! You don't know how many people I had to consult with over this. I have been thinking about it for a while now, but I am finally biting the bullet. I want my page to have a warmer feel, and not so restricted to white.

Within the next couple of months I will give a tutorial on how I used to edit my photos. I am still trying to figure out the direction of my new theme, but I am hopeful that it won't be as restricting. Meaning having to stand near white/grey walls all of the time.

In this post I am wearing a beautiful tan off the shoulder knit from Chicwish and For All Mankind cropped jeans. See below to shop this look!

Til next time! XO

  1. Oh how exciting that you're changing up the colour theme for the gram! I've never really had a colour theme other than it's got to be colourful haha! I'm also going to be doing a tutorial on how I edit my photos too - we should swap tips ;)

  4. I am digging this warmer vibe I actually feel like I gravitate more towards that and have been thinking bout the same thing I'm kinda over the overexposed look. I feel like that's everyone's feed now and days. Love how it fits into your aesthetic. I spent the weekend being really productive and hosted a blogger brunch :)

  10. Looking gorgeous as always! Loving the casual vibe! And I would love to hear more about your editing process! Photos really do make or break a blog/Instagram! I try to use a lot of color in mine but it's hard to be consistent because not everything is colorful LOL.

  11. OMG, girl, I totally feel you with the Instagram filter! The struggle is real! Having such a minimalistic feed looks beautiful, but is so restrictive, I tried it for a while a long ago, but it was too much work for me.

Pink looks great on you, can't wait to see more colorful outfits!

  12. You can basically rock any look you want and this vintage style is no different. As for the filter issue I know a lot of people go with certain themes of colors in their feeds, but I haven't done so and I've done quite well so far, but then again, my pictures are somewhat coherent anyway I guess. Hopefully you're satisfied with the changes you've made! :)

  15. First of all, as always, love your Chicwish top and your jeans are the perfect cut and shade. I could live in denim like this. Second, congrats on making the change. I'm such an indecisive person that I'm FOREVER changing up the coloring of my photos. I'm definitely not that girl that has a perfectly curated feed but that's me and just part of who I am and what I'm feeling in the moment. So glad to hear that you're embracing change and I know that can be a tough decision to make. Love this warm tone and can't wait to follow along as your feed begins to transform.
